I can’t tell you how many times we’ve started this magazine. I’ve thought about it every day for several years and I still come back to the same question. Why in the hell would anyone start a magazine about barbershops?
The answer is also a question, Why has no one ever published a magazine about barbershops?
Barbershops are about breaking barriers. It’s the only place where we’re all somewhat equal. When we walk through that door, our cool is only as cool as the brother that walked in right before us. Our problems are only as bad as the guy sitting next to us. It’s one of the only places where we can express our opinion about any subject that’s being discussed. It’ possible that no one will take heed to our opinion, but never the less we can speak it. Enjoy.
